Alert message sent 08/02/2021 07:17:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Overnight 6th-7th February a burglary has occurred to a garage of a property on Sugar Lane, Adlington.

Offender/s have used a ladder from within the grounds of the property to gain access onto the roof of the garage and forced open a window. Two high value push bikes have then been stolen from within.

If you have any information or CCTV of any suspicious behaviour in the area please call 101 or email quoting IML-912490.

During the same time frame, we have also received a number of similar reports of garage and sheds being broken into in the Bollington area and again high value push bikes have been stolen. If you have a high value, push bike please consider extra security measures i.e. securing it to a fixed structure or consider investing in a shed alarm.

This incident also comes as a reminder to also hide away or secure items that could be used to gain entry to your home or outbuildings. Please make sure ladders, and tools are secure or locked away out of sight to prevent offenders from using them.
