Update on charging scheme for disposal of non-household waste

29 March 2022

A proposed new charging scheme for residents disposing of construction waste will be reviewed at a Council Scrutiny Committee meeting on 11 April 2022.

Following agreement to the Council’s new waste strategy, the case for charging will be considered by the Scrutiny Committee, who will review the evidence and options for introducing any charges at Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs). The meeting will take place on 11 April 2022. Until the scrutiny committee recommendations can be properly considered, no charges will be applied to residents delivering waste from home improvements or repair and alterations to homes or domestic properties.
