Join in the celebrations for Great Boughton Library's 50th birthday
25 September 2019This year it is 50 years since man landed on the moon and it is also the big 5-0 for Great Boughton Library.
The Library has organised a range of events to celebrate this milestone.
During Libraries Week (7 to 12 October) there will be a community exhibition showcasing Great Boughton and the local community through the ages.
There will be a reminiscence morning on Monday 7 October from 10am to 12pm to launch this special exhibition. Everyone is welcome to come along for coffee and a chat and to meet friends old and new.
During the afternoon there will be some classic board games from the 1960s for both adults and children, including a special Storytime at 2.30pm with 1960s rhymes and stories.
On Thursday 10 October the Library will be hosting a murder mystery afternoon ‘Bannocks and Blood’ from 2pm to 4pm. Ann Cleeves has written a murder mystery based around a traditional Shetland Sunday Tea. So join in with tea and cake and see if you can successfully guess who did it.
Tickets (£4) are available from Great Boughton Library and via https://www.ticketsource.co.uk/cwaclibraries
