The Grosvenor Park Strollers are back
12 August 2021A popular walking group in Grosvenor Park, Chester is now back after being put on hold by the pandemic.
The Grosvenor Park Strollers is a group of walkers who have a weekly short ‘stroll’ around Grosvenor Park in Chester city centre.
The group is happy to be able to come back together again and invites walkers old and new, as well as people interested in volunteering, to come and join them.
It’s free, open to all and led by trained walk leaders who lead the group on a steady 30-minute walk around the park finishing with a refreshment afterwards. The group meets every Tuesday at 11am at St Johns Church on Vicar’s Lane in Chester.
Council Leader and Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Councillor Louise Gittins said: “It’s great news that the Grosvenor Park Strollers will be back in our wonderful park again. The Council’s Total Environment team is supporting the group as well as others around the borough. The group is made up of a range of people who enjoy coming together to take some gentle exercise. Why not give it a go and make some new friends too.”
