Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
6 to 17 February 2020
 
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Ewloe Court – Door to property kicked open causing door to splinter.  Unknown if anything has been taken at this time.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Sidney Road – Access gained to rear garden. Rear door to property has lock and beading damaged but not entry gained.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Wetherby Way – Glass panel in rear kitchen door smashed to gain entry into the property.  Alarm and sensors damaged before extensive search carried out within the property.
  • Glenmaye Road – Rear patio doors smashed to access property. Jewellery taken.
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Leighton Road – Honesty box from outside farm shop prised open and contents taken. Shed also damaged in what appears an attempt to gain entry into it. 
Criminal Damage

Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Victoria Road – Male caused damage to edging around Newsagents shop window. – Male arrested.
  • Bunbury Green – Front window smashed by unknown means.
  • Whitby
  • Dunkirk Lane – Brick thrown through front ground floor window.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Station Close – Key snapped off in lock to garage, within block of garages, making it impossible to open.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Chester Road – ‘Burleydam Hotel’ has signage and lights damaged, along with the cover to a gas pipe.
  • St. Pauls
  • Parklands – Brick thrown through living room window.
  • Fulwood Road – Iveco horsebox has door forced open leaving it bent.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Outer pane of glass found with small hole, possible from pellet.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Grange Road – Black and green Carrera mountain bike taken from outside ‘Aldi’.
  • Exeter Road – Four plastic containers and a roll of black bin bags taken from outside address.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Badgers Rake Lane – 20 recently planted laurel bushes at ‘Woodlands Farm’ removed and taken. – Repeat victim as same thing has happened in previous weeks.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Hinderton Road – White Isuzu Tipper, RE17 TAR, with wording ‘Colby Tarmac’ on side taken from outside residential property. – Vehicle recovered from ‘Pollards’ car park, Willaston.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Ewloe Court – Front and rear registration plates, showing DU05 OSX taken from Kia Picanto, which had been parked at the rear of the address.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Sutton
  • Rostherne Avenue – Passenger window of Jaguar x type smashed and small quantity of change taken from within.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stokesay Court – Peugeot Partner has wing mirror kicked off.
  • Bamburgh Court – Unknown offenders cause damage to a number of vehicles parked within the rear parking area.
  • Ford Eco Sport has rear windscreen smashed.
  • Peugeot Euro Taxi has rear drivers side window smashed.
  • Vauxhall Astra has rear passenger window smashed.
  • Ford Fiesta front drivers window smashed.
  • Rossmore
  • Jacks Woods Avenue – Bathroom window smashed.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Fulwood Road – Two separate reports which have occurred during the time frame of this bulletin.
  • Dacia Duster has seal moved boot area by unknown means.
  • Iveco Ford van found with door open and bent from being forced open.  Nothing reported taken.
  • Mill Lane – Unknown male walks up to VW Touran kicks the side leaving a dent. – Male arrested.
  • Grange
  • Flatt Lane – 4 youths, during the early hours of the morning walk along the road causing damage to vehicles as they pass.
    • Vauxhall Corsa has drivers wing mirror bent backwards.
    • Audi Q5 has drivers wing mirror kicked off, leaving it hanging by wiring.
    • Renault Clio has drivers wing mirror bent leaving it hanging down and the glass in the passenger wing mirror smashed.
    • Seat Ibiza has the casing knocked off the passenger side wing mirror.
    • Ford Fusion has drivers side wing mirror completely kicked off.
    • VW Polo has drivers side wing mirror casing cracked.
  • Flatt Lane – 4 youths, during the early hours of the morning walk along the road causing damage to vehicles as they pass. *likely to be same offenders.

  • Princes Road – Vauxhall Corsa has wing mirror damaged and body work scratched. *likely to be same offenders.
