Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
1 to 15 January 2021
 
  If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Wetherby Way – Entry gained via front door into property.  Car keys to a silver VW Passat, GK18 OBA taken along with the vehicle. – Vehicle recovered in Mersey Gardens, Old Chester Road, Birkenhead, displaying false registration plates – Male arrested, charged and remanded to prison.
  • Dudleston Road – Entry gained into property via rear sliding doors.  Untidy search and xbox, Henry Lloyd bag and 2 sets of car keys taken.  Vehicles not taken.
  • Netherpool
  • Rivacre Road – Entry gained into property via unknown means.  Keys taken to a Black Mercedes A class, KP67 CGK and a light blue Honda Civic, SW55 KRU. Honda taken at the time, offender/s returned a short time later for the Mercedes. – Honda recovered on Hillside Drive.
  • Straker Avenue – Male offender tried door handle at property and walked around the side of property. No entry gained.
  • St. Pauls
  • Glenwood Gardens – During the early hours of the morning an unknown male has approached a residential front door and tried the door handle before walking away.
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Mill Lane – Construction site entered after fencing unlocked by unknown means. Security cabin entered but nothing taken. 2.000 litres of diesel taken from site. 
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Ruthin Court – Rear gate kicked open damaging lock.  Stones thrown at CCTV camera causing damage.
  • Malvern Avenue – Brick thrown through rear kitchen window.
  • Pembridge Court – Brick thrown through bathroom window.
  • Pembridge Gardens – Wheelie bin set alight.
  • Rossmore
  • Grafton Road – Living room window smashed.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Cross Street – Brick thrown through window at Scholars Court by named male.
  • Netherpool
  • Moorland Road – Side gate damaged.
  • St. Pauls
  • Oxton Green – Brick thrown through living room window and fencing damaged.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Victoria Road – Blue Apollo Phaze mountain bike taken from outside chip shop.
  • Rossmore
  • Westminster Road – Carrera Banchi taken from outside convenience store.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Grange
  • Tennyson Road – Whilst walking along road unknown male has snatched bag from caller and run off.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Leven Walk – Red Leeway ZN50Q, KX68 EFW taken from outside address. – Recovered in field off Netherpool Road.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Wetherby Way – Silver VW Passat, GK18 OBA taken after keys obtained during a burglary. – Vehicle recovered in Mersey Gardens, Old Chester Road, Birkenhead, displaying false registration plates - Male arrested, charged and remanded to prison..
  • Netherpool

Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Malvern Avenue – Peugeot 307 entered by unknown means via the drivers door. Steering cowling removed but not damaged.  Quantity of CDs taken from the glovebox.
  • Stokesay Court – Mitsubishi Lancer, parked in public parking area has front registration plate, showing GX58 CFP taken.
  • Whitby
  • Lloyd Drive – Jaguar X type, parked on car park of ‘Rowan House’ has both front and rear registration plates, showing BF59 HFG taken.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Plantation Drive – Hyundai Santa, parked at roadside entered by unknown means, leaving all doors open. Untidy search made within and glove box emptied leaving contents strewn within. Nothing reported to taken at this time.
  • Blackstairs Road – Vehicle (no further details at this time) found with passenger door ajar. Glove box emptied but nothing reported taken.
  • Rossfield Road – Vauxhall Movano, parked on ‘Ponds Yard’ car park has both front and rear registration plates, showing VA57 OUL taken.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Rugby Road – Ford Fiesta has object thrown at drivers side window causing it to smash.
  • Strawberry
  • Westminster Road – Male attended ‘Westminster Convenience Store’ and threatened staff member with a kitchen knife before taking £100 from the till – Male arrested.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Rivacre Brow – Ford Galaxy, parked at roadside keyed along both sides of vehicle.
  • St. Pauls
  • Woodchurch Lane – Ford Fiesta has paintwork to rear of wing mirror housing scratched.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Road – Toyota Corolla has rear windscreen smashed.
Other Incidents of note…
  • St. Pauls - Old Chester Road – Male offender entered ‘McColls’ and threatened staff member with a screwdriver before removing till drawer and running off towards Sutton Way – Male arrested.
