VEHICLE CRIME

Alert message sent 23/11/2020 12:21:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Over the last few days, we have received several reports of vehicle interference (vehicles being broken into and property removed and a group of youths congregating around another vehicle) in Andover Close, Anson Close and Coroners Lane.
  • Don't leave valuables on show even if you think an item isn't of any particular value.  Someone else might think differently
  • Don't leave coats or clothing visible.  The pockets may be empty but someone looking through the window won't know that
  • Make sure you car is locked and all windows, doors and boot are closed properly
  • Activate all security devices, alarms, immobilisers when left unattended
  • Try parking your car in a safe, well lit place.  Use a garage if you have one
  • If you park your car on your drive, consider fitting substantial locking gates or security posts
  • Take extra care on cold and frosty mornings - don't leave keys in the ignition and doors unlocked when your car is unattended even if it is only for a couple of minutes
