Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
12 to 20 September 2020
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • Whitby
  • Greenlea Close – Entry gained into rear garden and patio doors damaged in an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry.
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Mellock Lane – Double glazed pane in rear door removed.  No entry gained into property.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Neston
  • Chester High Road – Plant pot thrown through the window of ‘Hinderton Arms’.  Garden furniture broken and smashed against VW Passat causing denting and scratched to the vehicle.
  • Sutton
  • Sutton Way – Front door to property scratched with name etched into it.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Flatt Lane – White, black and green Cannondale bike, left in of car park of ‘Saffron’ restaurant taken.
  • Neston
  • Raby Park Road – Blue and black Giant bike, secured in bike store outside ‘Neston High School’ taken.  Lock also taken but helmet left.
  • Hinderton Road – Two cobbles removed and taken from tarmacked driveway.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Telford Road – Ford Fiesta, parked in car park has all four alloy wheels, and interior seats taken. – Male arrested.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hadlow Road – Citroen C1, parked in carpark at old train station has boot entered, by unknown means and handbag taken.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Sutton Avenue – MG, parked at kerb side outside residential property keyed along the passenger side of vehicle.
  • Neston
  • Chester High Road – VW Passat, parked in grounds of ‘Hinderton Arms’ dented and scratched by unknown offenders who have also caused damage to the public house.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Glenwood Road – Renault Clio hit the windscreen of the vehicle with a bottle causing it to smash. Vehicle bodywork also dented and scratched.
