Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
29 August to 11 September 2020
 
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Slackswood Close – Entry gained into property via insecure rear door.  Lap top taken.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Cross Street – Entry gained into property via unknown means. Dressing gown, Samsung phone battery and tobacco pouch taken. – Male arrested. *Linked to vehicle theft.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Grange Crescent – Insecure porch entered and tidy search carried out.  Coat taken.  An insecure VW Golf R, parked on the driveway searched through but nothing taken. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Old Church Close – Group of males have broken into the garages at the rear Bike taken from garage but no further details. 
  • Crescent Road – Lock broken off shed door.  Doors of greenhouse damaged and plants strewn around.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cheshire Oaks – Cover to external electricity socket ripped off by group of youths.
  • Rossmore
  • Station Road – Windows of unoccupied ‘Station Hotel’ smashed. – Named suspects.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • High Street – Front window at property smashed.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Poole Hall Road – Key case, on wall of business unit ripped off. 
  • Netherpool
  • Naylor Road – Small window to rear of changing rooms next to football pitches smashed.
  • Sutton
  • Overpool Road – Group of youths climb over boundary wall into rear of ‘Sir Robert’ public house.  Window to rear smashed.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Peterborough Close – Carrera bike, secured outside premises had front wheel taken.
  • Rossmore
  • Imperial Mews – Parcel left outside the address taken.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hooton Road – Brown Giant Terrago bike, secured at ‘Hooton Railway Station’ taken by unknown offender.
  • Grange
  • Queens Gardens – Black and white Cannondale Quick bike taken from outside address.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Ringway – Silver BMW R1150GS Adventure, DK55 WMP, parked outside property taken after heavy-duty chain cut through. – Bike recovered from The Witterings.
  • St. Pauls
  • Clayhill Green – Kawasaki SC 125, YY17 VPC, parked in passage between properties, taken after lock on gate removed.
  • Sutton
  • Sutton Way – Grey Yamaha MT-07, GU64 DPX taken from outside flats. – Bike located in Merseyside, having been involved in a collision with a black Mazda, stolen from Merseyside - later recovered burnt out.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Cross Street – Daihatsu Sirion, parked on communal carpark entered after door forced open with a screwdriver.  Search made within but nothing taken. – Male arrested. *linked to burglary.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Grange Crescent – Insecure VW Golf R, parked on the driveway searched through, nothing taken, following search of porch area accessed via an insecure door.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Flatt Lane – Vauxhall Astra, parked on residential driveway has wing mirror ripped off. – Female arrested.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Landseer Avenue – Vauxhall Astra, parked on residential driveway has nearside window smashed.
  • Netherpool
  • Rossbank Road – Volvo XC90 keyed alongside the length of vehicle during the daytime.
