Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
15 to 23 August 2020
 
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellesley Walk – Front door kicked open leaving footprint on door.  Nothing appears taken.
  • Lancing Road – Offender has climbed over wooden gates to access rear garden.  Insecure lean-to entered and items of food removed.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Wetherby Way – Lock smashed off rear door to gain entry. Search made within kitchen area.  Nothing reported taken.
  • St. Pauls
  • Sutton Way – Door to flat kicked causing damage to lock. – Two males arrested.
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Rossmore Road East – Lower glass panel in door at ‘Lakeland Motorhome Centre’ smashed by two unknown males to gain access. One male remains keeping lookout whilst the other has forced open the internal officer door.  Untidy search made before offenders disturbed by security.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hooton Road – Back door lock damaged in an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry.
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Scotton Avenue – Lock broken on garage door.  No entry gained.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Window on Whitby Hall smashed.
  • Rossmore
  • Grace Road – Ground floor, front window smashed by unknown object thrown at it.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Berwick Road West – Male kicked room door open causing damage to frame and lock. – Named suspect.
  • Sutton
  • Dolphin Crescent – Wheelie bin taken from outside address and set alight in park area.
  • Grange
  • Stamford Street – Brick thrown through front window.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Hawthorn Road – Rear garden accessed after lock removed from gate.  Keter storage box emptied and taken along with a Pedalpro trainer.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Raby Park Road – Both front and rear registration plates, showing WP15 YXA taken from a Ford Focus.
  • Netherpool
  • Woodacre Road – Seat Ibiza has both front and rear registration plates, showing M100 HMA taken.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • King Street – Having just dropped off a fair group of unknown males exit a property within the road and throw a bottle at the taxi causing a brake light to smash. No further details of taxi.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • The Green – VW Golf has both wing mirrors ripped off and door damaged.
Other incidents of note…
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Field Hey Lane – Blue Audi Q3 Quattro, stolen from Prenton, Merseyside found abandoned in road.
