Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
6 to 14 June 2020
 
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Brook Street – Rear of property accessed via alleyway and door lock of UPVC door damaged. – No entry to property gained. 
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellesley Walk – Side gate damaged, by what appears to be kicking, preventing it from shutting.
  • Highfield Road – Brick thrown through lounge window by unknown male wearing a face covering.
  • Whitby Road – Fire alarm smashed off wall.
  • Rossmore
  • South Pier Road – Outside yard of ‘Boat Museum’ entered by unknown offender/s who have then caused damage to three boats.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Leighton Road – Green telephone exchange box forced open and damaged internally.
  • Netherpool
  • Woolton Court – Front door to property kicked causing damage.
  • St. Pauls
  • Woodchurch Lane – Bin, placed at base of mast set alight causing damage to cabling and electrics. – This is the second time this mast has been targeted and damaged due to the possible belief that it is a 5G mast.
  • Everest Close – Ground floor window of property smashed with a large rock.  Upper floor windows also have the outer panes damaged.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Thornton Road – Bright orange and black Carrera Vengeance, with lock wrapped around crossbar taken from park area by unknown offender.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Christleton Drive – Wheelie bin taken and set alight. 
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Lindisfarne Avenue – Entry gained into Mercedes E350 by unknown means and 2 rucksacks containing various items taken from boot.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Armthorpe Drive – Unknown male disturbed inside insecure Ford Transit, parked at Richmond Green.  Male left upon being disturbed but was seen to be carrying an unknown electrical device and a screwdriver.  The male left in a black Citroen 3C which had been waiting nearby.
  • Netherpool
  • Gowy Court – Two unknown youths seen to jack up a Toyota Prius and attempt to remove the cover to the catalytic convertor before being disturbed.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Ringway – Vauxhall Zafira has rear passenger side light smashed with a brick.
  • Sutton
  • Sutton Way – Vauxhall Corsa scratched along sides and bonnet.
  • Everest Close – BMW 325 has rear window smashed with large rocks.
