Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
13 to 22 January 2020
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • Rossmore
  • Worcester Walk – Having accessed the rear garden an insecure garden shed entered and a hammer removed, which was then used to smash a glass panel in the rear door to gain entry into the property.  Untidy search made and electrical items and cash taken.
  • Slackswood Close – Sound of someone trying the door handle to the property during the early hours of the morning.  Upon looking out of a window, an unknown person was seen walking away from the property.  No entry gained.
  • Parkgate
  • The Parade’ – Living accommodation above ‘Mr Chows’ accessed via an insecure window. Untidy search made within and cash and Pandora necklace taken by male offender, who ran off after being disturbed by occupants.
  • Grange
  • Cavell Drive – Entry gained via insecure rear door.  Handbag and contents taken from kitchen worktop.
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
  • Rossmore
  • Dock Yard Road – Fire door forced open on old ‘Veolia Cleanaway’ site to gain entry to premises.  Nothing appears to have been taken.
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
  • Rossmore
  • Pondside Drive – ‘Anwyl’ building site accessed by unknown offenders climbing over boundary fencing.  Shutters prised off office area to gain access and keys to a number of containers taken.  Containers entered but it appears only a Makita drill has been taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Neston
  • Brook Street – 3 glass panels in staircase window damaged within ‘Mostyn View’.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Change Lane – Front hall window smashed by unknown object.
  • St. Pauls
  • Princes Road – Brick thrown at window of ‘Madisons’ by male passing on bike.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wolverham Road – Entry gained into rear garden and insecure Orbea Occam bike in orange taken.
  • Coliseum Retail Park – Gaming machine within ‘Tenpin’ broken into and quantity of cash taken.
  • Rossmore
  • Station Road – Purse, left unattended at toilets of ‘Shell Service Station’ handed into staff minus cash.
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Allans Meadow – Entry gained to the side of the property via an insecure gate. 6 large industrial bags, containing scrap metal taken.
  • Grange
  • Whitby Road – Purse taken from within a bag which had been left unattended with others at ‘Ellesmere Port Church of England College.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Milton Road – Vauxhall Corsa has drivers side wing mirror broken off.
  • Marlborough Road – Vauxhall Insignia has rear windscreen wiper pulled off, also damaging springs.
  • Rossmore
  • Grace Road – Two vehicles at property targeted.
    • For Transit has wing mirror removed and taken.
    • Toyota Avensis has wing mirror damaged and left hanging from the vehicle.
  • Parkgate
  • The Parade – Audi A7 scratched with unknown implement.
  • Netherpool
  • M53 – Truck has window smashed and light damaged by items thrown by group of youths the from motorway bridge.
  • Sutton
  • Bridge Meadow – Citroen Picasso has wing mirror damaged by group of youths.
  • Hope Farm Precinct – Vauxhall Corsa has wing mirror bent back causing damage.
  • Kendal Drive – Stone thrown through windscreen of van (no further details).
