Knife Crime

Alert message sent 06/11/2019 15:18:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Whilst Cheshire has one of the lowest rates of knife crime in the country, the county has seen an increase in violent offending as part of a national trend.

Knife crime has a devastating impact on communities and young people and the Constabulary is keen to get as many people as possible involved in tackling knife crime

People who carry knives are more likely to be injured, even a small blade can cause serious injuries or death.

Not only that, carrying a knife in public can result in a criminal record or four year prison sentence.
