Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
26 October to 3 November 2019
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Strawberry
  • Wordsworth Way – Property entered via front door.  Keys to a black VW Polo, DA19 OTR taken along with the vehicle.
  • Fuchsia Close – Patio door lock snapped and doors forced open to gain entry to property. Wallet and keys to 2 vehicles, Blue BMW M4, D9 MRJ and blue Mazda CX5, DA19 UDJ taken along with vehicles.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Ringway – Front door forced to gain entry. Cash taken.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Glenathol Road – Patio door smashed to gain entry to the property.  Untidy search made within and cash and jewellery taken.
  • Sutton
  • Sutton Way – 2 separate incidents reported during the time frame of this bulletin.
    • Window in front door and door broken to gain entry into property. Cash taken.
    • Sutton Way – Window removed and coat, bag and cash taken.
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Chester High Road – During overnight period 3 unknown males in a blue BMW pull onto the site of ‘Gordale Nursery’.  Using an crow bar an unsuccessful attempt is made to break the lock off a shipping container before the offenders drive off.
  • St. Pauls
  • Old Chester Road – Rear fire door forced open to gain entry into ‘Jays’ beauty salon.  Various beauty products, hair dryer and cash taken.
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Strawberry
  • Cypress Avenue – Entry gained into garage after hole drilled into wall to enable an unknown item to be passed through to pull door release wire.  Fishing trolley containing various equipment taken. Garage door then closed.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Raby Road – Door to shed forced open.  Unknown at this time what if anything has been taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Dover Drive – Brick thrown through window.
  • Stirling Court – Brick thrown through lounge window.
  • Whitby
  • Capenhurst Lane – Hammer thrown through glass panel in front door.  Lounge and bedroom window also smashed.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • High Street – Rear fire door of 1st floor flat has glass panel in door smashed.
  • St. Pauls
  • Station Avenue – Front door kicked by unknown offender causing damage to door and glass panel to fall out.
  • Grange
  • Cannon Street – ‘OK’ spray painted onto fence panel in red paint.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Rossmore Road East – Black Audi Quattro, displaying OU54 MEL obtained £56 of fuel and drove off making no attempt to pay. – Believed to be displaying false registration plates as no trace on pnc. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Mudhouse Lane – 3 saddle stones and 2 stone balls taken from garden. 
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Strawberry
  • Wordsworth Way – Black VW Polo, DA19 OTR taken after keys obtained during a burglary.
  • Fuchsia Close – Blue BMW M4, D9 MRJ and blue Mazda CX5, DA19 UDJ taken after keys obtained during burglary.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Spunhill Avenue – VW Transporter entered via unknown means and cash and set of keys taken from vehicle.
  • Sutton
  • Painswick Road – During the early hours of the morning an unknown offender has entered a Vauxhall Insignia, parked on residential driveway by unknown means.  The offender has then been seen looking into its boot before making an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry into a Vauxhall Mokka, which was also parked on the driveway.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • The Oval – Peugeot 106, parked at roadside has wing mirror damaged.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Stratford Road – Mercedes Vito van, parked outside residential property has all four tyres slashed with unknown object.
  • Town Lane – Honda HRV scratched along the length of the passenger side by an unknown object leaving a deep scratch.
  • Neston
  • Raby Road – VW Golf has windscreen smashed.
  • St. Pauls
  • Parklands – Whilst being driven along road Stagecoach bus caused to slow down after an empty pram is pushed into its path by 3 youths.  The youths have then thrown a plank at the bus which has caused scratching to the windows.
  • Sutton
  • Budworth Road – Ford Focus, parked on residential driveway has rear passenger window smashed.
  • Grange
  • Aldgate – Vauxhall Zafira has the small panel off glass, next to wing mirror smashed by what appears to have been a pellet.
