Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
2nd to 8th April 2019
 
 If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Highfield Road – Lock from shed removed by unknown means. 2 x Boardman Pro 2016, described as ‘downhill bikes’ in blue taken as well a Macro Cruiser metal detector.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Woodfield Road – UPVC window smashed with a brick.
  • Walkworth Court – Window in main entrance door to flats smashed by resident.
  • Whitby
  • Thamesdale – Bin thrown at window causing it to smash. – Named suspect. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Overpool Road – Parking posts to the rear parking area of the shops on Overpool Road broken by group of youths.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellington Road – 2 push bikes, black and green Carrera and a grey, black and orange Kona taken from the bike sheds at ‘Asda’ after the locks cut through.
  • Marina Drive – Black Carrera mountain bike, secured outside ‘Lloyd Bank’ taken after lock removed by unknown means.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Mornington Avenue – Mercedes A class, parked at roadside has registration plates, displaying PJ66 YCB taken.
  • Doune Court – Mercedes LGA, has front registration plate, displaying DG68 RPY taken.
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Woods Avenue – Handbag taken from front seat of VW, parked in car park of ‘M&S’ whilst driver distracted by a male asking for directions.
  • Rossmore
  • Oil Sites Road – VW Golf, left insecure on car park near to canal has bum bag taken.
  • Grace Road – Vauxhall Astra has roof racks removed from vehicle. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Exeter Road – Dacia Duster, parked on roadside has nearside front passenger window smashed.
  • The Oval – Peugeot 106 has wing mirror kicked off by youths passing on bikes.
  • Princes Road – Peugeot Expert van, parked outside property found with large dent in the side of vehicle.
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Vauxhall Astra, parked on car park of ‘Morrison’ has drivers side wing mirror broken off leaving casing on the ground. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Ringway – Ford Fiesta, parked in alleyway between residential houses set alight having been doused in an accelerant by unknown offender/s.
