Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
4th to 16th March 2019
 
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
 Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Thamesdale – Occupants have returned home and found a trail of blood leading from the area of a rear window across garden and out of rear gate. Possibly believed to have been an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry which has caused an injury leaving a trail of blood as they have left the garden.
  • Rossmore
  • Viva Way – Resident woken by the sound of smashing glass and found patio doors smashed.  No entry gained into property. – Male arrested. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Sutton
  • Seacombe Drive – Entry gained via insecure window.  Car key, attached to left in the back of the door removed and taken along with the vehicle, White Renault Clio, DE61 YYK. – Vehicle found abandoned in Frodsham with a male seen running from it.
  • Grange
  • Princes Road – Male disturbed trying to force entry to rear of property. – Male arrested. 
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hooton Hotel – Currently vacant ‘Hooton Hotel’ entered.  Not known at this time what damage has been caused or what, if anything has been taken at this time. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hooton Road – Entry gained into empty former nursing home via an insecure ground floor window.  Entry forced into former officer area where an untidy search has been made.  Unknown if anything has been taken at this time.
  • St. Pauls
  • Waverton Road – Rear garden entered and lock on shed removed by unknown means allowing entry.  Strimmer, lawnmower, play station and Panasonic television taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stanlaw Road – At some time over the past 3 weeks an air gun pellet has been fired at a downstairs window leaving a hole in the outer pane of glass.
  • Civic Way – 4 panes of glass in bus station smashed. – Named suspects.
  • Stanney Lane – Stones thrown at window of property causing 2 holes in glass.
  • Thornton Road – 4 ground floor windows in new build property smashed.
  • Doune Court – Tenant has smashed up bathroom and smashed windows at property.
  • Whitby
  • Capenhurst Lane – Carrera mountain bike, secured in bike shed within grounds of the ‘Catholic High School’ has brakes snapped, wheels and main rail damaged. – Named suspect. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Romney Close – Unknown object thrown at bedroom window causing the outer pane of glass to smash.
  • Parkgate
  • Leighton Road – 3 security lights outside ‘Old Oaks Farm’ smashed by unknown means.
  • Sutton
  • Hope Farm Precinct – Rock thrown through window of flat above shops.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Window in door to flat, within communal block, completely removed.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Rossmore Road East – Phone power bank, plugged into an external socket outside the ‘Green Oak Farm’ taken during the early hours.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Station Road – Half a tonne of scrap lead removed by 2 males in a red Ford Fiesta from rear of ‘Station House Nurseries’.
  • Sutton
  • Talbot Road – Waste crusher taken from rear garden.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Whitby Road – Black Triumph Trident Sprint, R650 DPW taken from the rear of the ‘Citizens Advice Bureau’. -  Bike located abandoned in Grace Road. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Seymour Drive – Secured Black Yamaha R125, AP10 DZT taken along with lock from outside address. – 2 males witnessed riding off on the bike, no helmets, past Overpool Train Station.
  • Sutton
  • Seacombe Drive –White Renault Clio, DE61 YYK taken after keys obtained during a burglary. – Vehicle found abandoned in Frodsham with a male seen running from it.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Criccieth Court – BMW 320 has registration plates, showing DK05 YTN taken. – Witness states 4 women seen removing registration plates from vehicles within the area.
  • South Road – Whilst parked in parking area at ‘Prowell Ltd’ Ford Focus has both registration plates, showing WN05 ZNM taken.
  • Rossmore
  • Swale Road – VW Golf has front and rear registration plates, G71 MAG taken. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Rocklee Gardens – BMW 635D, parked on residential driveway has both front and rear registration plates, N1 HUX taken. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Eton Road – Windscreen smashed on a Vauxhall Zafira and Volvo S40 both parked outside the same address. – 2 males and a female witnessed causing the damage.
  • Stanney Lane – Small hole found in drivers side window of Toyota Yaris.
  • Cheltenham Road – Peugeot Partner van, whilst parked next to ‘Wolverham Community Centre’ has side window smashed.
  • Cambridge Road – Vauxhall Corsa, parked at roadside targeted on 2 separate occasions during the time span of this bulletin.  On each occasion a wing mirror was knocked off.
  • Whitby
  • Weaver Road – Mazda 2, parked on residential driveway has rear window smashed by unknown offender. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Burton Road – Nissan Qashqai and other vehicle (no further detail at this time), parked on roadside outside address scratched.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Rivacre Road – Ford Focus has rear window and bumper damaged by unknown means.
  • St. Pauls
  • Christleton Drive – Mini One has paint stripper poured over it causing damage to the paintwork. – Named suspects.
  • Grange
  • Fleet Street – Vauxhall motor vehicle set alight on residential driveway.
  • Sutton Way – Fiat Bravo has drivers side wing mirror bent backwards and dog muck what appears to be spit smeared all over car.
