Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
23rd February to 5th March 2019 
 
 If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
 Burglary
 Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cromwell Road – Lock snapped on kitchen door to enable entry into property. Cash, purse and the keys to a Silver Audi S3 Sportback, AK66 AFU taken, along with the vehicle. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Landseer Avenue – Entry gained through kitchen window after lock broken. Untidy search made within and property taken.
  • Neston
  • Quarry Road – Set of ladders used to access first floor balcony where an unknown implement has then been used to gain entry.  All rooms searched and various items of property taken from within.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Having accessed flats through the communal door entry has been gained into an upper floor flat by smashing the reinforced glass in the door. Damage has then been caused to various items within the flat but nothing is believed to have been taken. 
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Cedab Road - 3 intruders have climbed over fence from Meadow Lane to access ‘K J Bells’ scrapyard.  An unsuccessful attempt has then been made to enter a secure metal container before the offenders have left the area. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Seymour Drive – At some point over the past 2 months entry has been gained into a garage within the garage area after the padlock had been broken off the door.  Items within moved around but unsure what may have been taken at this time.  The garage door had been re closed by the offenders.
  • St. Pauls
  • Station Road – Detached garage entered by forcing up and over door.  Nothing taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stanlaw Road – Air pellet has gone through the outer pane of double glazed unit in ground floor window.
  • Whitby
  • Underwood Drive – Unknown item thrown at caravan on residential driveway causing damage to the window.  2 youths seen running away.
  • Strawberry
  • Sycamore Drive – Garden waste bin taken from unknown property and set alight at the entrance to the public footpath which runs along the rear of the properties on Walnut Grove/Eddisbury Road.
  • Rossmore
  • Livingstone Road – At some point between the middle of January and now rear garden fence and gate has been kicked causing it to become out of shape and the bracket to come off.  No entry has been gained into the garden.
  • Viva Way – Unknown item has made contact with kitchen window causing a small hole in the outer pane of glass. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • High Street – 2 unknown males thrown brick at window of ‘Dominos’ causing it to smash.
  • St. Pauls
  • Cloverfield Gardens – Unknown item has hit window causing damage.
  •  Sutton
  • Hope Farm Precinct – First floor living room window has outer pane smashed by ball or similar.  The inner pane had then fallen inwards into the property although it has remained intact.
  • Overpool Road – Ford Focus found alight near to junction with Schubert Close.  Believed to have been deliberate ignition.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Black/lime green Voodoo Marasa bike, left insecure outside ‘Morrisons’ taken. – Named suspect. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Tarporley Road – Whilst Ambulance crew in attendance at address an unknown offender has entered the ambulance taken an oxygen cylinder from within.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Princes Road – 2 separated reports of motorcycles being tampered with during same time frame.
    • 1st - White Peugeot Kisbee moped, DG67 WKC, parked on residential driveway taken by unknown means. – Moped recovered having been dumped in car park of ‘Madison’s’.
    • 2nd – Black Suzuki GZ125 has an au unsuccessful attempt made to snap the steering lock and ignition damaged causing the bike to become unusable in an unsuccessful attempt to take it.
  • Jenkinson Lane – Aprilia RS 125 motorcycle, parked in residential street has an unsuccessful attempt made to remove it which has caused damage to the handlebars and ignition system.
  • Cromwell Road ­- Silver Audi S3 Sportback, AK66 AFU taken after the keys were obtained during a burglary. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • The Knowe – Golf GTI, ML14 ZGB, parked on residential driveway taken by unknown means. – Vehicle located by West Midlands Police displaying false registration plates.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Malvern Avenue – Entry gained into a Toyota Corolla, parked on driveway by unknown means.  All doors and boot found open by owner and backpack and contents taken from within, some of which have later been discarded further along the road.
  • Walkworth Court – Skoda Octavia has both registration plates, displaying FV62 UKL taken.
  • Strawberry
  • Randle Meadow – Ford Transit Van entered by unknown means and a quantity of plumbing tools taken from within. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • The Parade – Insecure VW delivery van entered and bag containing cash and sandwiches taken from within.
  • St. Pauls
  • Maple Avenue – Vauxhall Astra entered by unknown means and thorough search carried out within.  Torch and car safety/escape hammer taken.
  • Hawthorn Road – BMW 116D entered having gained entry through a window and popping the door lock.  Vehicle searched through but nothing believed to have been taken. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stanney Lane – Both sides of Kia Soul keyed along its length when it had been parked at roadside.
  • Whitby Road – Vauxhall Corsa, parked at roadside scratched/keyed along bumper.
  • Thornton Road – Dennis single decker bus has 2 windows smashed by group of youths who have thrown stones as it has passed by. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Romney Way – Seat Ibiza, parked at roadside scratched along passenger front wing and dented by unknown object.
  • Neston
  • Morton Court – Porsche Panamera keyed along rear door panel.
  • Netherpool
  • Seymour Drive – 2 males running along road hitting vehicles.  Vauxhall Astra has wing mirror smashed.
