Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
16th to 22nd February 2019
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Seymour Drive – Window in rear door damaged to gain entry. Search made of ground floor and watch and bracelet taken. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Leighton Road – Axe, removed from an insecure shed used to attack the door handle on another shed to gain entry. Nothing reported to have been taken at this time.
  • Wood Lane – Various gardening tools, including long pair of loppers, 2 pairs of shears and a trowel taken from garden shed which was entered by unknown means. Secure Vauxhall Corsa, used for storage entered and jack removed and placed onto garden.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Arundel Court – Front window smashed. 2 males seen running from area.
  • Victoria Road – Alley gate removed from fixings by unknown means causing damage to the hinges.
  • Market Hall – Perspex screen on rear of shop sign damaged by group of youths.
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Stone thrown at bedroom window causing it to smash. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Farndon Road – Small amount of rubbish and tree cuttings set alight by unknown person/s.
  • Woodvale Road – Outer pane of glass in rear window smashed.
  • Sutton
  • Loxdale Drive – Youths congregating outside local shop pull down strip light off roof as well as tearing down posters and throwing eggs.
  • Grange
  • Joan Bartlett Close – Cover to key safe snapped off by unknown means. 
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Coronation Road – Boardman mountain bike in blue, orange and black taken from outside ‘Oasis’ youth club. – Named suspect / Bike recovered.
  • Rossmore
  • Rossmore Road East – 2 males seen to climb onto the roof of the parade shops.  Lead flashing removed. – One male arrested and charged.
  • Percival Road – 2 bikes taken from neighbouring properties. Ladies blue and silver fold away bike and a white BMX. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Puddington Lane – Male offender approached rear of property under renovation and removes Stihl power.  He leaves the area in silver Audi. – Named suspect.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Ross Road – Entry gained into secure business compound and industrial steam cleaner loaded into a Mercedes Sprinter, AV59 OBB which is then driven off site.
  • St. Pauls
  • Wilmslow Drive – Insecure vehicle, no further details at this time, entered and £6 taken from within.
  • Grange
  • Princes Road – Secure silver Yamaha MT125, DF65 HFT, parked on residential driveway taken by unknown means.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Newnham Drive – Ford Transit, parked on residential road during overnight period entered by unknown means. Tool box and power tools taken from within. - *Same time frame.  3 offenders arrested and charged.  Large quantity of power tools recovered.   
  • Kenilworth Court – 2 reports of theft from Ford Transits reported, with both vehicles being entered by unknown means and a quantity of power tolls being taken from within. - *Same time frame.  3 offenders arrested and charged.  Large quantity of power tools recovered.  
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Ashtree Farm Court – Secure VW Transporter has damage caused to fuel cap and tank in a possible attempt to remove fuel.
  • Buckley Lane – Toyota Yaris, parked in car park has side window smashed and handbag taken from within.
  • St. Pauls
  • Delamere Drive – Skoda has both front and rear registration plates, bearing WA64 XFL taken.
  • Station Road – Insecure Vauxhall Vivaro entered and 2 Stihl saw taken from within.
  • Sutton
  • Seacombe Drive – Insecure Ford Transit, during overnight period entered and various power tools taken from within. - *Same time frame.  3 offenders arrested and charged.  Large quantity of power tools recovered.     
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • The Oval – Peugeot 106 has wing mirror knocked off a vehicle, parked at the roadside by a group of passing youths on bikes.
  • Marina Drive – Vauxhall Corsa has windscreen wipers snapped off.
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Honda Accord, parked in car park at ‘Morrisons’ scratched along bumper by a vehicle which has then driven off.
  • Rossmore
  • Worcester Walk – Vauxhall Zafira, parked near to garage block has wing mirrors kicked off by 2 youths in hoodies. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Mill Lane – Vauxhall Insignia has wing mirror off.
  • Sutton
  • Seacombe Drive – Ford Focus has wing mirror kicked off during overnight period.
  • Hope Farm Road – Report of a male witnessing a group of youths walking down the road and kicking the wing mirror off a vehicle.  No vehicle details.
  • Randle Meadow – Vauxhall Corsa, parked outside property scratched on the bonnet leaving 3 large circles.
