Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
7th to 12th January 2019
 
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information, such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Marlborough Road – Property approached from the rear garden.  An attempt is made to force open a rear window causing the outer pane of glass to shatter.  The offender has then left.
  • Cromwell Road – Rear garden entered. Offender has sustained, a cut by unknown means and blood has been left on the rear gate, path, door frame and door handle.  No entry gained.
  • Rossmore
  • Church Street – Attempt to access ground floor via bathroom window causing outer pane of glass to break.  No entry gained.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Churchill Court – Unknown male opens an insecure door to property but runs off after being disturbed by the resident. 
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • North Road – Vending machines at ‘Vauxhall Motors’ forced open and cash taken from within. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Strawberry
  • Vine Road – Up and over garage door opened by unknown means.  Quantity of both alcoholic and soft bottled drinks taken. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Grange
  • Deansgate – Lock pulled off shed door to gain entry.  Large quantity of fishing equipment taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • St. Thomas View – Ground floor bathroom window smashed. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • West Drive – Upstairs bathroom window smashed by either a pellet or stone.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cheshire Oaks – Whilst walking around retail estate 2 mobile phones, IPhone 7 in gold and Samsung S8 Plus in black have been removed from her bag by unknown means.
  • Wellington Road – Red and white Specialized mountain bike, which had been secured outside ‘Asda’ taken after lock removed by unknown means. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Raby Park Road – Black Apple watch, series 3, Nike edition removed from a bench within the changing rooms at the ‘Brio’ gym.
  • Sutton
  • Overpool Road – Unsuccessful attempt made to force open the cash drawer on the jet wash unit at ‘BP Garage’.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Blue and silver Giant mountain bike, left on grounds of ‘West Cheshire College’ overnight taken.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Strawberry
  • Wordsworth Way – Skoda Yeti, parked on residential driveway entered by unknown means and stereo unit and sat. nav. taken. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Thornton Road – Whilst being driven along road Fiat Doblo has stones thrown at it by group of youths causing denting to bodywork.
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Car being driven past ‘Whitby High School’, around 10.15pm, has eggs thrown by youths who have then run off through the school grounds. This has caused a dent and chipped the paintwork on the vehicle. – No vehicle details at this time.
  • Rossmore
  • Rossmore Road East – Whilst being driven along road a BMW has stone thrown at it by youths who were behind hedge near to school, which causes the windscreen to shatter.
