Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
22nd to 27th October 2018
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • St. Pauls
  • Parklands – Rear of property accessed by garages which back onto row of houses.  House entered via an insecure rear kitchen door.  Tidy search made within and wallet taken.
  • Sutton
  • Broadland Road – Entry gained to rear of property and premises entered by forcing rear French doors.  Search made within property.  Nothing appears to have been taken. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Oakfield Road – Side window to garage jemmied open to gain access.  Quantity of tools taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Thornton Road – Fire lit in small woodland area damaging trees and shrubs. 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Shotwick Lane – Cable to front of property cut through by unknown offender.
  • St. Pauls
  • Station Avenue – 2 windows at the address smashed.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cheshire Oaks – Group of unknown youths disturbed taking a pedal cycle pedal cycle that had been left insecure near to ‘Tui’ on Cheshire Oaks. Group disturbed by the father of the owner and the bike was thrown to the floor and the group ran off.
  • Rivington Road – Unattended purple Samsung S9, left on desk within ‘Claire House’ taken by unknown offender.
  • Rossmore
  • Firenza Avenue – Rear garden of property entered and set of brown rattan garden furniture set, 3 seater sofa, 2 chairs and glass topped table. 
  • Netherpool
  • Scaffell Close – During the early hours of the morning an unknown offender has approached the front door of a residential property and forcibly removed the video door bell.
  • Tryfan Way – The following morning to the previous theft at Scaffell Close a video doorbell was removed from a residential property in Tryfan Way.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Strawberry
  • Wells Close – Unknown male seen by resident trying door handles to numerous vehicles during the early hours of the morning on Tuesday 23rd October.  It is possible the male was in company with others as he was seen to give a ‘thumbs down’ gesture before leaving the close. - *- Linked offenders.
  • Laurelwood Drive – Male offender witnessed on CCTV trying car door handles during the early hours of 23rd October. - * Linked offenders.
  • Lichfield Drive – Insecure Vauxhall Mokka, parked on residential driveway entered during the early hours of 23rd October.  Untidy search made within but nothing taken. - * Linked offenders. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Rossmore
  • Wilkinson Street – Audi A6 has tyre punctured with screwdriver. 
  • St. Pauls
  • Clayhill Green – Skoda Fabia scratched along bodywork.
