Ellesmere Port & Neston News Bulletin
13th to 21st October 2018
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Marshlands Road – Entry gained into rear garden by leaning over side gate and unlocking bolt.  The offender/s then reached through an insecure window to a utility room where they have opened the rear door with the key which has been left in the lock.  Tidy search made within ground floor area and the keys to a brown Ford Fiesta, FG63 XGF and white Ford Focus, YR17 VDC taken along with vehicles. – ANPR has shown the Ford Fiesta in the Birkenhead area of Merseyside.
  • West Vale – Gates to front and side of property found open and damage to front door consistent with an unknown implement being used in an unsuccessful attempt to prise it open. – Possibly the same offenders/s as the above Burglary.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Bamburgh Court – Property targeted again by youths throwing apples at windows causing the glass to crack.
  • Walkworth Court – 2 properties have had their windows damaged, possibly by a pellet.
  • Whitby Road – Cameras on side of newly renovated ‘On Cue’ building damaged by group of youths.
  • Coliseum Way – Glass in window of ‘Freedome’ damaged by a stone thrown by a youth who was refused entry into premises.
  • Ludlow Drive – Flat window smashed by unknown means.
  • Warwick Court – Window damaged by ball bearing or pellet.
  • Pembridge Court – Upper floor flat has window smashed by named male.
  • Whitby
  • Whitby Road – Glass in bus stop smashed.
  • Whitby Park – Youths setting off fireworks in the park.  Bin set alight.   
  • St. Pauls
  • Alvanley Road – Front window and kitchen windows damaged by unknown means.
  • Beeston Green – Window damaged by unknown means. 
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Dudley Road – Lexmoto Arrow motorcycle, BL14 UPW taken from the front of a residential property.
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Resident disturbed unknown offenders who were believed to be in the process of attempting to steal his Peugeot camp-a-van.  The males were in a white van with the words’ Best Co’ on the side.  They had gained entry into his vehicle by unknown means and had lifted the bonnet before being disturbed and leaving in the direction of Underwood Drive. 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Marshlands Road – Brown Ford Fiesta, FG63 XGF and white Ford Focus, YR17 VDC taken after keys obtained during a burglary. – ANPR has shown the Ford Fiesta in the Birkenhead area of Merseyside.
  • Wellesbourne Close – Unknown offenders, take a Yamaha BWS 125, DA63 UGU from outside residential property during overnight period. – Vehicle located on West Drive after a call received from a member of the public stating they have disturbed 2 youths with bike who have run off.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Whitby
  • Underwood Drive – Ford Transit entered by unknown means.  Numerous work tools taken from within. - * possibly same offenders.
  • Woodbank Road – Ford Van found with doors wide open.  Unknown how entry has been gained.  Not sure what has been taken at this time. - * possibly same offenders.
  • Weaver Road – Citroen Relay van entered by unknown means and tools, including an angle grinder and torch taken. - * possibly same offenders. 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • West Vale – Insecure Skoda Fabia and Honda vehicle entered.  Battery charger taken from within the Honda.
  • Flint Close – Nissan Qashqui, entered by unknown means and untidy search made within.  Box containing doll taken.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Coldstream Drive – BMW M140 has drivers door forced open to gain entry. Idrive/steering wheel and radio taken. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cheshire Oaks – Mini, parked on car park found to have all four tyres deflated on return to vehicle.
  • Rossmore
  • Grace Road – Daihatsu, has both wing mirrors snapped off by male on a push bike after a confrontation due to his cycling all over the road.
