Competition to find Cheshire's Most Welcoming Front Door

19 December 2019

The search is on. Upload a picture of your door using #welcomingdoorsofcheshire to be in with a chance to win a £500 B&Q voucher.

Foster4, Cheshire West and Chester Council’s foster carer recruitment service, have launched the search to find Cheshire’s most welcoming front door as part of their ‘Could you open your door?’ campaign.

The competition will see one lucky winner receiving the prestigious accolade and also a £500 B&Q voucher, donated by local organisation, Weee Charity.

The competition will be open for entries until Friday 3 January and the winner will be decided by a panel of children in care, experts in what makes a welcoming first impression.

Councillor Nicole Meardon, Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Cabinet Member for Children and Families said: “This competition is a creative way of highlighting the Foster4 service and encouraging people to engage with our winter campaign. At this time of year many of our residents and businesses have made a real effort decorating their homes and particularly their front doors. We’ve received through some fantastic entries so far that our panel of children in care will be judging. If you haven’t entered yet please send through a picture of your front door for your chance to win.”

Residents and businesses are encouraged to get involved by uploading photos of their front doors to the Foster4 Facebook page or via Instagram @foster4cheshire using #welcomingdoorsofcheshire.
