Malpas Library to benefit from improvement works

16 March 2020

Malpas Library will be closed temporarily for two weeks over the Easter holidays to improve the layout of the library and school reception area.

The library will need to temporarily close to members of the public for two weeks while the works take place - from Tuesday 7 April, re-opening on Tuesday 21 April.

Council Leader and Cabinet Member for Wellbeing, Councillor Louise Gittins said: “The library counter will be relocated and some new furniture and mobile shelving will be purchased to enhance the space.

“Loans have been extended and won’t be due back during closure but customers are welcome to use our online library resources including eBooks, eAudio books and eMagazines and visit other libraries and the mobile library which stops in Malpas. We apologise for any inconvenience and look forward to seeing customers again when the library re-opens.”

Opening hours of all libraries and links to our eResources are available online and if required items can be renewed online or by phone 24 hours a day: For more information visit the Council's website.
