Radio Northwich to make a move to Barons Quay

30 January 2020

Radio Northwich will soon be broadcasting from Northwich’s Barons Quay development after exchanging an unconditional contract with Cheshire West and Chester Council.

Radio Northwich launched in May 2018 with it’s now commonly seen and heard strapline ’Your town, your music’ and has built strong relationships with local sports clubs, charitable organisations, local retailers and several business networking groups.

It has been the owners’ wish to make Radio Northwich a more visible entity and the move to Barons Quay provides a great platform for the business to flourish, whilst maintaining all the links and relationships it has created within the local community.

John Thompson, partner at Radio Northwich, said: “To be in the heart of the town centre whilst being just yards from our roots, is exactly what the station needs to take it to the next level. We thank Cheshire West and Cheshire Council and the Barons Quay management team for working with us to make this possible”.

Councillor Richard Beacham, Cabinet Member for Housing, Regeneration and Growth, said: “I am delighted that we can now announce the news that Radio Northwich will be broadcasting from Barons Quay going forward. This announcement means that 'the voice of Northwich' will have an even bigger platform to shout about all the great things going on in the town.

“We want to make sure that Barons Quay is a leisure destination as well as having an extremely important local focus. We are pleased with how Barons Quay is developing and we can hopefully reveal some more exciting news in the near future.”

Radio Northwich broadcasts 24 hours per day at www.radionorthwich.co.uk
