4 July 2017A second drop-in event in Frodsham has now been confirmed for residents to get involved in Cheshire West and Chester Council’s Air Quality Action Plan consultation.A draft Air Quality Action Plan has been produced for the Fluin Lane area of Frodsham and the Council is seeking residents’ views on the proposals. The drop-in event will be held in Frodsham Community Centre on Thursday 20 July between 1pm and 8pm. The consultation started in early May and will run until Friday 28 July. The Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment, Councillor Karen Shore said: “Monitoring results confirm that air quality in Frodsham complies with the national air quality objectives for a range of pollutants with the exception of a small area in the immediate vicinity of the Fluin Lane junction with the A56. “The main source of the pollution is traffic emissions and the Council has been exploring measures to reduce these emissions. We’re keen to know views on the proposed measures, as well as any additional suggestions for improving air quality at the Fluin Lane/A56 junction. “I hope as many people as possible will attend the session - residents and businesses can also get involved in the consultation on-line or by post until 28 July.” As well as the drop-in session, there are several other ways to give your views on the Fluin Lane Air Quality Action Plan:
